Two Models — Built for Different Styles of Fishing
Barrett Rod Co. stools are available in two versions: the Fighting Stool and the Fishing Stool. The Fighting Stool is designed for battling large, powerful fish and features an adjustable fighting gimbal, while the Fishing Stool offers a clean, compact design without a gimbal for everyday fishing, fly fishing, and all-day comfort.
Both models stand 24" tall, feature a compact 14" x 14" footprint, and offer full 360° seat rotation. Choose between a durable powder-coated finish or polished anodized aluminum.
Fighting Stool
The Barrett Rod Co. Fighting Stool is designed to make fighting powerful fish like sharks, Goliath grouper, tarpon, amberjack, and other hard-fighting species easier, more comfortable, and more controlled—especially aboard smaller flats and bay boats.
It comes standard with a 14" marine-grade cushion and a polished stainless-steel fighting gimbal featuring two height adjustments to accommodate different rod-butt lengths and fishing styles. Combined with the 360° rotating seat, anglers can comfortably follow a fish as it moves around the boat while remaining seated, supported, and in control.
The Fighting Stool benefits young, older, inexperienced, and experienced anglers alike. It's also an excellent tool for captains and guides with inexperienced anglers aboard, allowing the angler to focus on fighting the fish while the captain concentrates on boat positioning and maneuvering.
In rough seas or while maneuvering around other boats, bridges, pilings, docks, and obstacles, the seated fighting position provides added stability, reduces fatigue, and minimizes unnecessary movement around the deck.

Fishing Stool
The Barrett Rod Co. Fishing Stool is a clean, compact seating option without a fighting gimbal and comes standard with a 12" marine-grade cushion. Its 360° rotation and small footprint provide excellent comfort without sacrificing valuable deck space.
This stool is exceptional for fly fishermen and sight fishing, providing a comfortable place to sit while scanning for fish, waiting between shots, changing flies, tying leaders, rigging tackle, or making long runs between fishing areas.
